Public Relations

The purpose of the Public Relations effort of the Northern California Region of Narcotics Anonymous is to help the public know that NA exists, that it works, and that it is available. Another important goal is to support local areas by sharing information, strengthening services, and helping our fellowship stay aware of how NA is seen by the public.

These goals are supported by two Public Relations Coordinators and a bi-monthly sharing forum. The Public Relations Coordinators attend both NA and non-NA events to spread awareness of NA within the fellowship and throughout the community. They are also available as a resource for local PR/Public Information committees.

The sharing forum offers regular training opportunities for local areas and provides a welcoming space to exchange ideas, experience, and information with members who have an interest in Public Relations. All members are welcome to participate. Please check the regional events calendar for dates and times.

Resources

These resources are a collection of local, regional, and world Public Relations materials gathered to support NA members in developing effective local PR programs. Any file shared may be used as is or edited to best meet your local PR needs. Our hope is that these resources help strengthen our relationships with individuals and organizations outside of NA, while also providing members with information that increases awareness of how our behavior and attitudes within our communities impact our public relations efforts.
